Now you ve reset your door codes and your remotes should not work.
Modify garage door opener.
Place the opener on a ladder and use scrap lumber to get it at the height you need.
Release the button when the light beside it.
Use the open ended adjustable wrench to loosen the bracket and remove the bracket on the door and the bracket above the door.
Push the learn button on the motor again so its light comes on again.
If you can see something that looks like a bicycle chain near the motor unit of your opener consider replacing it with a screw driver or belt drive garage door opener.
Press the learn button located on the side of the motor and hold it down.
Look for a button that says learn and hold that down until the light starts blinking.
Install the bracket that comes with the garage door opener over the garage door using the screw gun.
Loosen the brackets securing it to the ceiling and gently lower it down.
Follow the manufacturer s instructions to assemble the opener and mount the rail to the header bracket above the door.
Even a newer model chain drive unit will likely be quieter than an older model but screw drives are noticeably quieter and belt drives are the quietest of all.
