I have tried repositioning them several times and sometimes this helps but sooner or later they start leaking again.

Isolate areas when you run the hose.
Before i bought an mr2 i viewed one that had a small 1 1 and a bit inch rip in the roof.
Once cured remove wrap.

Pull the vent off by hand.
You will see a small tube protruding into the back corner of the black box which the vent snaps into.

Blow some compressed air into the drain tub at the t top drain.
Very simply clean area of seal where you have a leak apply small amount of silicone to build up depression in seal place sarin wrap over and close t top door.
If a leak is difficult to find enlist a helper and go up on the roof with a garden hose.
Until it s fixed i m only putting the hood down when the roof is nice and warm which is a lot at the moment when i first got the car a couple of months ago i was putting the top down no matter what temperature rain being the only reason it would be up i think this is now the pain for all the pleasure of driving around on frosty mornings with the sun coming up on my way to work.

Mr2 s leak through the t bars whether its a mk1 or mk2 and you would ve thought by the mk2 those clever japanese types at toyota would have fixed it.

After all when it rains over in japan it really does chuck it down so how they managed to repeat the mistakes of the mk1 t bar arrangement into the mk2 is anybodies guess.
I spoke to a salesman at a toyota garage about how much this would cost to repair and where to have it done.
He recommended a place in birmingham i don t recall the name appologies but he said they specialised in that sort of repair and replacements also as toyota would charge a small fortune.

In the mr2 they drain out through the quarter glass vent located in that smaller glass behind the door glass on the rear qtr panel.
Start low soaking the area just above where the leak appears in the house.
