This is an original equipment oe from volkswagen.
I had a factory rack on my a4 that looks pretty much identical to the one for the gti.
Its clips slide on and the trays are in the way of getting the fairing clips to slide where necessary.
Not everyone likes it but most of the euro and jdm guys dig it.

July 08 2017 08 04 14 pm i recently purchased a genuine vw roof rack from ebay but sadly it did not have a fitting tool with it.
It fit well as i m sure the gti rack will too.
Noise becomes background pretty quickly and the rack is unnoticed.
Feet are all there no damage.
